Frequently asked questions

Is RentVim free for renters?

Yes. Searching and browsing listings on RentVim is free, and you don't need an account. You can create a free account with your email or Google if you want one.

How are listings kept accurate?

Listings come straight from the unit lists of the landlords and property managers Habitat Leasing works with, and are refreshed as those lists change, so rent, availability and status stay current. Units that have been rented are clearly marked.

Which areas does RentVim cover?

RentVim lists apartments in Montreal, including Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie, Ville-Marie and Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension. You can search by city, address, postal code or neighborhood.

What do 3.5 and 4.5 mean?

In Quebec, apartment sizes count rooms, with the bathroom as the half. A 3.5 has one bedroom, a living room and a kitchen; a 4.5 has two bedrooms; a 5.5 has three. A 1.5 or 2.5 is a studio.

How do I book a visit or apply?

Open any listing and use Schedule visit to request a showing, or Apply to start your application. A Habitat Leasing agent follows up with you.

Where can I find move-in specials?

Listings with a move-in special, such as a free month, show a Promotion badge in search results, and the listing page spells out the offer.

Can I find a pet-friendly apartment?

Yes. Each listing shows its pet policy, and the Animal friendly filter limits your search to units that welcome pets.

I'm a landlord. How do I list my building?

Book a call with Habitat Leasing. Share the unit spreadsheet you already keep, in English or French, and it becomes live listings on RentVim without manual data entry. Habitat Leasing's agents then handle showings and applications.
